If you have never visited Boddington before then you will be surprised at how much it has to offer when it is only an hour and a half drive from Perth. Boddington is located off the Albany Highway and it is a quaint town that makes you feel like you have gone back in time to a simpler era.
The first reason I would visit Boddington is the Hotham river that is located in the center of town and has a walking track located beside it. If you walk along the riverbank early in the morning or in the evening you will see a wide range of native birds. More recently the foreshore has been landscaped and a new skate park has been installed which is ideal to keep children entertained for hours.
The second reason is the pleasure of getting back to basics and being able to lay in the hammock on the front veranda at Boddington Retreat and watch the sunset over the distant hills.
The third reason is the walkability of Boddington. The house is located in the center of town so you can walk to the local IGA, pub or coffee shop. If you bring your bike it is even easier. We also provide Boddington Retreat shopping bags, so you don’t even have to bring your own shopping bags, which I normally forget.
The fourth reason is all the facilities that are available at Boddington as there is a Boddington Pool which is open six days a week (closed Tuesdays) from October to March/April, depending on the season. Situated on Pollard Street it features a modern 25m pool as well as a paddling pool and plenty of lawn areas and tables for sitting.
The final reason to visit is the joy of getting out of the city and enjoying each other company in a quiet country cottage that has everything you need with a brand-new kitchen that has everything you need from a coffee maker to a mix-master to make cakes.
